West Indies National Council collection, 1922-1926.

The West Indies National Council collection consists of documents obtained from the Federal Bureau of Investigations through the Freedom of Information Act. Included are reports and communications between special agents and the directorate of the FBI dealing with activities of the members of the West Indies National Council (WINC). Internal activities, pricipally fund raising, personal information, and social and political activities of many of the leaders of the WINC are included in these documents.

The FBI established this classification when it assumed responsibility for ascertaining the protection capabilities and weaknesses of defense plants. Each plant survey was a separate case file, with the survey, supplemental surveys, and all communications dealing with a plant insofar as plant protection was concerned, filed together.
